CONSILIUM

The chapter Consilium is a collection of photographs of everyday life of patients in psychoneurological institutions  and mental hospitals. Their relationships with each other and with us - living on the other side of the iron fence.  

One afternoon a priest came to our boarding school and classes at my ‘school’ were cancelled. We went to film the service at the local club. A great many foreigners had gathered. Cramped quarters and the smell of incense made some of them feel unwell, but they continued to be baptised with enviable persistence, if not obsession. Some, however, simply beat their fists on their foreheads and stomachs. Others waved their hands round their heads, but there were also those who baptised correctly, as they had been taught before the service by the priest [...]
